Program Overview
Upadeśāmṛta (“The Nectar of Instruction”) is a classical work composed of eleven concise verses that present a progressive path of spiritual maturity.
In this program, we will explore the essential principles taught by Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī and presented in the edition translated by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda.
These teachings address key aspects of spiritual life, including:
- Self-discipline
- Spiritual clarity and discernment
- Devotional relationships
- The influence of environment
- Faith in the Holy Name
- Direction of desire
- Humility and higher aspiration
This is not an academic study, but a formative journey that encourages participants to integrate these principles into daily life.

Methodology
Each session includes:

Purpose of the Program
The goal of this program is not only to understand the verses intellectually, but to gradually embody them as living principles within Vaishnava culture and daily spiritual practice.

Facilitator
Yajña Caitanya Dasa is a practitioner of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition and a disciple of Jayapataka Swami. He first came into contact with ISKCON in the early 1990s and has been engaged in devotional practice and service since then.
In 2021 he successfully completed the Zonal Supervisor Course at the GBC College for Leadership Development, and from 2018 to 2023 he served as Chairman of the National Council of ISKCON Brazil.
He currently lives in Münster, Germany, and is interested in exploring how classical teachings such as Upadeśāmṛta can support mature spiritual practice in contemporary life.
